Chavara International Center for Indian and Inter-religious Studies (CICIIS)

The center was formally blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. William K. Weigand, the bishop of the diocese of Sacramento on October 18, 2005, at St. Mary’s Parish, in Giovanni Hall. The objective of this center is to prepare a proper forum for helping people of different religions and cultures to experience and live their own religions and cultures through deepening one’s own faith and mutual enrichment, leading to a holistic transformation of the society in the pluralistic context today.
