St. Therese Carmelite Chapel in the Mall and CMI House

Peabody, MA

The CMIs took over the Chapel and Gift Shop from the O. Carm. Fathers on January 30, 2016. The chapel provides spiritual care and sacramental assistance to the employees, visitors, and customers. The chapel offers two daily Masses Monday through Friday and on Saturday, three Masses. Priests are available for confession every day. Holy Eucharistic adoration is held between the masses. CMIs purchased a house in Peabody in August 2016. The new house was blessed on September 28, 2016.  Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thekkedath (Sr.), CMI, is the Director of the house and Chaplain, and Rev. Fr. Bijo Thomas, CMI, is the Associate. This is a new venture of the CMI community in North America.
